Over the last several weeks we have been talking about the process of disciple making as our Lord Jesus told all us to do as He departed the earth. We want to share the hope of Jesus, once one accepts Christ we would like to see people grow in faith and finally show love by serving. So today I want to talk about what a disciple of Christ is as we seek to grow in the relationship with the Lord.
- Worship regularly
- Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer. Hebrews 10:25 (Today’s English Version)

- Involved in small groups of some type
- And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything with each other, selling their possessions and dividing with those in need. They worshiped together regularly at the Temple each day, met in small groups in homes for Communion, and shared their meals with great joy and thankfulness. Acts 2:44-46 (Living Bible)
- Supports the vision of the church
- Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. Hebrews 13:17 (New International Version)
- Is a faithful giver
- That is, each Sunday each of you must put aside part of what you have earned. 1 Corinthians 16:2a
- Has several friends in the church
- A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24
- Know spiritual gifts and uses them to serve
- Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
- Willing to share faith(their story)Â to friends
- But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, I Peter 3:15
