Today is the final week of they had to do it series on the crucifixion of Christ on the cross. I want to focus on a trait today that Jesus showed and that each and every one of us could use today. It was a trait that the leaders and Pharisees did not show at all and that is why they tried to kill the savior.
- He came in a manger
- Luke 2:7 She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.
- He had no place to live.
- Luke 5:58 But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”
- He rode on the donkey
- Mark 11:2 Go into that village over there,” he told them. “As soon as you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
- He meet in the upper room
- Mark 14:13-14 At the house he enters, say to the owner, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room where I can eat the Passover meal with my disciples? And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; there prepare for us.”
- He was convicted for nothing
- Mark 15:14 Why?” Pilate demanded. “What crime has he committed?” But the mob roared even louder, “Crucify him!”
- He was buried in a borrowed tomb
- Matthew 27:59-60 And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the entrance of the tomb and went away.
