Pandemonium = PandaMania (pan-duh-moh-nee-um) – 1. Wild uproar or unrestrained disorder; tumult or chaos  2. A place or scene of riotous uproar or utter chaos

From this definition, it sounds like pandemonium is something we should avoid, but it is coming to Woodside!  The topic of VBS this year is PandaMania which will cause Pandemonium.  Without Jesus, our lives can quickly spiral into chaos.  A few examples:

Jonah chose to ignore God’s calling and instead of sailing to Nineveh, he began a journey to Tarshish.  The ship he was on was caught in a wild storm until Jonah decided to listen to God, and even then he was swallowed by a giant fish.

When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, many of them never saw the promised land and they wandered in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights because they did not have faith and did not obey God.

There are more examples in the Bible and I’m sure some of us have found this to be true in our own lives.  Without God, we are wandering aimlessly.

The kids in VBS will learn God’s truths like this one.   VBS is July 10-14 in the evening.  Please keep this on your calendars and invite others to come!
