Proverbs 3:9-10

“Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine”

Do we consider ourselves to be generous people?  Do we give God our first fruits?  We would like to think so, but sometimes the world gets in our way.  We think the person who is asking for money will not spend it wisely- so we don’t give.  Instead of putting aside some of our paycheck we keep thinking about bills that need to be paid.  There are many benefits to giving with our whole heart and living generously.  God will provide for you here on earth as Proverbs 3:9-10 says above.  God will also provide for you when we join him in heaven.  If God puts something on your heart, respond and obey Him.  Many blessings will be waiting for you, even if they do not come immediately.  Your heart will also be glad to have obeyed and helped another.  You can have an impact on the Kingdom of God by living a generous lifestyle.
