2Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
We have been talking about building projects over the last few weeks and today I want to conclude this series with what I think is the key to building a walk like Christ which I hope everyone in this room wants to do today. These pillars of building this walk are found in Paul’s writing to the church at Colosse. It is a book filled with guidelines to mature us as believers but in the last chapter I think Paul really gives us the answers to be like Christ. So what are these pillars of the truth?
- Devotion to communication with God.
- Thankfulness
- Watchfulness
- Openness
- Clearness
- Devotion to our treatment of others
- Actions towards them
- Opportunities with them
- Gracefulness towards them
- Ability to know them.
