Today we begin a new series on the fruits of the Spirit. One of the hopes and prayers of the church leaders is that we draw closer to the Lord in our lives this year. We don’t want a much of religious people coming to the church we want fully devoted followers of Christ. One of the greatest ways to walk closer to Him is to make sure that the fruits is showing in our lives so pray as we go through this series that you will indeed produce some fruit.

  • Love is what Christ commanded
    • Matthew 22:37 You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.
    • Galatians 5:14 (NLT) For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.
    • I Corinthians 14:1 Let love be your highest goal!
  • Love is what matters in life.
    • I Corinthians 13
      • More important than words
      • More important than intellect
      • More important than believe
      • More important than giving money and self
      • More important than all the stuff I may do in life
  • Love is the greatest
    • I Corinthians 13:13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
    • Ephesian 5:1-2 Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.
