Sing along with us –
Soon and Very Soon
Written by Andrae Crouch, 1976

Soon and very soon, we are going to see the King!
Soon and very soon, we are going to see the King!
Soon and very soon, we are going to see the King!

No more crying there, we are going to see the King!
No more crying there, we are going to see the King!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We’re going to see the King!

This written with soul proclamation and it’s infectious melody and African rhythms.
The joyous anticipation of Christ’s return is celebrated with the promise that “Soon and Very Soon We are going to see the King”. This is the kind of song that has the audience up on their feet, swaying before the first line is even sung.

Andrae’ Crouch is one of the most renowned and widely respected pioneers of Gospel music. By combining such classic gospel music elements as call-and-response and choir, along with pop songwriting techniques and production, his style has influenced countless other artists. He was born July 1, 1942, in Pacoima, CA. He got his musical start at his father’s church, singing, playing piano, and before ten years of age, writing his own songs despite being entirely self-taught.

One of our church all-time favorite hymns is another one writhen by Andrae Chrouch .”My Tribute”1971

How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me?
Things so undeserved, Yet You gave to prove your love for me.
The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude.
All that I am, and ever hope to be; I owe it all to thee.

To God be the Glory, to God be the glory, To God be the glory, For the things he has done. With His blood He has saved me; With His power He has raised me; To God be the glory for the things He has done.

Can you say soon and very soon I am going to see the King?
And can you say thanks for all He has done for you?
To God be the glory for the things He has done!!!!
