Last week we looked at into the facts that God loved us first and that His Love was a unconditional love. Today I want us to look deeper into this love and see that it is for a life time and then describe why the break-ups happen. In the book of Matthew, Jesus was asked about divorce. Jesus reply shows us that He expects us to be tighter for a life time.

Matthew 19:3-6

Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” 4″Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

We need to remember that God design was:

That they become one

That they remain together
Why in the world do we have all the break-ups, what causes the problems? I think we need to go back to the beginning to see why and I believe the answer is going to found in the form of a question. It is a question from God to Adam. I really think that of life’s problems come down to this one question that God asks that Adam.

Genesis 3

Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

That is a relationship question that God is asking not a really looking for him question.

Before

They were partners
They were pure
They were perfect

After

They were punished.
