Goals for 2012

Connect to community by bringing Hope, growing in Faith, and serving in Love.

Each year I believe in is good for people to sit down and set some goals for the year that is coming.  It gives us something to aim for, if we have nothing to aim for we really can be easily taken of course.  We need a target to keep us on the path.  I prayed over these before I put them on paper to make sure it is what God wants not just my wants for my life.  So I want to share some of the goals that I believe God want to accomplish this year at Woodside Community Church.

  • Deeper prayer commitment.
  • To make sure we are following the Great Commission
  • Train up leaders in the church.
  • Discipleship through small groups.
  • Giving of our time, resources and energy to further the Kingdom.
  • Equip the church.
  • Start the building.
  • Provide short-term mission opportunities for those interested.
  • Connect in the community better.

This is just a few of things that I hope and pray that God allows to happen this year at Woodside.  Again, these are a few goals that I pray happen this year, if not I will still know that God still sits and His  throne and His ways are higher than my ways.  As I wrap up this section I want to encourage you to come up with some goals for the new year.  I conclude with my life verse:

II Timothy 4:7-8  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 8 And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.
