Moving ahead! How are we connecting to the community? What is different about us as a church, and would this community care if we closed the doors of the church today? I think these are questions that we need to make sure that we can answer as we move ahead in the plans of Meridian Woods and what God has for us in this community. I pray that over the next few months each and every person would think through these questions. Or maybe you have a way to help us better connect to this community, please jot it down to share with the church. I hope that each member of the church prays for the leadership of the church everyday as you send you time with God.
In addition, it seems like many people to take time off in the summer months at many church, i want to encourage us as a church to reach out even more doing this months, the kids are free and many families have more time to maybe connect with the church, sometimes all it take is an invitation from at the church. Maybe you could even have a Matthew party at your house this summer. Ask for the details if you don’t know what a Matthew party involves. Other outreach items for us could be cookouts, neighbor block parties, car washes, or even a family soda giveaway in your neighborhood. Remember that summer is great a great time for fishing, Jesus called us to be fishers of men and if you haven’t caught anything lately maybe you need to change your bait.
