In just a few days we will be electing a new president for our country, what a honor and privilege it is for us a Americans to be able to serve our country in this way. Today I want us to look at some traits that our important when it comes to selecting leading. I would never tell anyone who to vote.
CHARACTER
Character can be defined as who you are when no one is looking. Because when no one is looking, that’s who you are.
Character is an outward reflection of an inward connection.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”

“Good leaders abhor wrongdoing of all kinds; sound leadership has a moral foundation.”
CONVICTION
Conviction is belief. I believe this. I stand on this foundation. Conviction. Conviction. Conviction, a strong passion or belief.

“The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”

“Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.”
COURAGE
Courage is the God given ability to stand. You see, conviction is belief; courage is behavior. Our belief influences our behavior.
Proverbs 11:3 (NIV)
“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”
COMPASSION
Compassion is love in action.
Proverbs 31:8-9 (NIV)
8 “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,for the rights of all who are destitute.
9 Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
COMPANY
Who you hang with, if the mainstream secular media supports a candidate or an issue, there is a great chance that something is sideways and you better look at that one very, very closely. Who opposes them? Who is for them? Who opposes you?
So you want to rock the vote? I do. How do you rock the vote? Very simply, Matthew 7, “Build your life on the rock.” Because Jesus will take you places you never dreamed possible.
