Discipleship Team: September Issue

The nursery is up and running, well the kids are running. Pat Davis and Marlene Gilkerson gave the nursery and all the toys a good cleaning. We will continue to keep the toys sanitized. As Pat has returned to Florida volunteers are needed. Areas to volunteer include: Being in the nursery one Wednesday night a month, donating disposable Sippy Cups call : Zoo Pals Cups and Lids” and “ Itty Packs” ( any variety/flavor) or donating money to purchase big items. One item we want to purchase is wall murals, which as the babies begin crawling; they can look at and start their learning process. If you want to volunteer for or donate any of these items please see Marlene Gilkerson. One other way to volunteer is to see Janice Norman and agree to sit in the back during the Sunday morning service in case of an emergency, for example, if the nursery worker need a child’s parent or just to have you watch the babies while a toddler is taken to the bathroom. I want to give a big thank you to Pat Davis for continuing to have a love for kids and to be an encouragement to the rest of us. I could not have gotten the nursery going again without her wisdom and help.
