I Corinthians 13

4Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

    • Does not surrender to circumstances
    • Endure hurts without resentment
  • Love Is Kind
    • Active
    • Helpful action which only requires the hint of a need before it takes action.
  • Love Is Not Jealous
    • Desire earnestly
    • Pursue
  • Love Is Not Arrogant and Does Not Boast
    • Letting people know about me and my success
    • Personally taking credit
  • Love Does Not Behave Badly
    • Act Unbecomingly
    • Aggressive
  • Love Is Not Self-Centered
    • Does Not Seek Its Own
    • Phil 2 Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well
  • Love Is Not Provoked

    • Arouse to anger
  • Love Does Not Keep Notes on Past Offenses
