- It needs to Increase
- I Thessalonians 2:3 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

- It needs to be demonstrated through compassion
- Ephesians 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
- It needs to be Sincere
- 1 Peter 1:22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,
- It needs to come from a relationship with God
- 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
