Today we conclude our series on the Beatitudes found in Mathew 5. It is my pray that we all strive to have the attitudes that we have discuss over the last several weeks. Today we end with the last beatitude that I am going to speak about. Bless are the persecuted for theirs is the Kingdom or great is their reward. What can we learn about this, because if you compare the freedom or worship here in America to other countries we really don’t understand persecution?
Matthew 5:10-12
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11″Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

- When Christianity was outlawed and missionaries were forced out of the country, some thought this was the end of the Church. God’s ways are not Man’s ways! The church grew from less than1million in 1949 to probably 30 million (Some say 80 million!) Christians today. The Church really benefits when its members are persecuted.
