Power of the Holy Spirit

  1. CONVICTION
    1. JOHN 16:8  “And when he [the Holy Spirit] comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
  2. HELPER
    1. JOHN 14;16-17  “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him.”
    2. Put of the helping is a interceder
  3. GUIDE
    1. JOHN 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.”
    2. Rather than depending on our human reasoning, we have a supernatural guide in the form of God’s indwelling Holy Spirit.

  5. INDWELLS
    1. Ephesians 1:13-14 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who  is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
    2. EPHESIANS 5:17-21 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
    3. Indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the filling of the Holy Spirit. All believers in Jesus Christ have God’s Spirit living within them, or dwelling within them; but not all believers live filled or controlled by the Spirit’s power.
    4. All believers have the Holy Spirit but the Holy Spirit may not have all of them.
    5. Indwelt by the Holy Spirit at the time of our salvation but we are filled by Him when we submit to Him.
  6. ENABLES(Produce Fruit)
    1. GALATIANS 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
