As I am typing this newsletter I am thinking back to almost five years ago that I was going to be making a trip form Michigan to preach my first Candlelight Christmas Eve service at Meridian Woods and how excited I was about what God was going to do at this church. I can say within doubt that the same excitement that was in me five years ago is still growing and I believe that God is moving. Things have changed over the last five years, people have come and gone and the building has changed, with have truly connected to this community. And now with a new excitement I say let’s continue to move forward as a church body, just think what it will look like next year at the time around this place. Which leads me to ask a question of you today, how you will be different over the next year. Will you be in love with Jesus more than ever before, will you be praying, reading the Bible and crying out to God for change? Will we continue to connect in a greater way to this community, would they care if we closed the doors of the church this year? What is it going to take to show them that we really care and God loves them? Will you step up in 2010 to make a difference for the Kingdom? Doing this season of giving the make sure that we are giving ourselves to the Lord, no greater love than a man have that he lay down his life for others. As you close the year will you be willing to give? It is my prayer that we become known as a church who serves, one that serves each other and the community but most important is that we serve God with all that He has given to us as a church body.
