It is more than Democrat or Republic or Libertarian that we must choose
- It is someone that has the right insides.
- Character
- Who they are when no one else is looking
- But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7 NLT)
- It is someone who takes a stand.
- Not a flip flopper
- Let your yes be yes and no be no
- And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15 KJV)
- It is someone with a plan
- Where there is vision the people perish; (Proverbs 29:18 AMP)
- The next day Saul separated his men into three divisions; during the last watch of the night they broke into the camp of the Ammonites and slaughtered them until the heat of the day. Those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together. (1 Samuel 11:11 NIV)
- It is someone who knows right from wrong.
- Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?” (1 Kings 3:9 NLT)
- It is someone who seeks others counsel.
- Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers.
