Greeting from the administrative team: Hope everyone is doing well; I thank God for every one of you as a member MWBC for your help, friendship and for your prayers for the church. I, like Pastor Mark feel that by God’s mercy and grace, he has magnificent things in store for our church body! Not only for our church body but also for our facilities and growth in numbers. I know sometimes change is hard, but for us to grow we must change. Change the way we think, the way we act, our attitude toward things that happen and towards others. Sometimes things we may not totally agree with, we must support, we must all work together in God’s love to support, to heal, to forgive, and to encourage each other. We must trust and have faith that God has put our Brothers and Sisters in charge for a reason. That reason is to further his kingdom on earth.
People will come and go in our church, but God is always here in our church, as long as we believe and do his will. Each of us has special spiritual gifts. We must find out what those gifts are to serve each other and God. We can find out those gifts with a small questionnaire that Pastor Mark has (just ask and you shall receive) the test. If we work together with each other and with lots of prayer, praise, and support we will reach that Goal! Right now we need to look deep into our hearts (and wallets). I know these are hard economic times. I personally may be looking at financial devastation or bankruptcy, but I know as long as I trust God and go beyond what I thank I can do that god will take care of me and my family. The bottom line is all I need is my family and my church, and most important God as my leader.
We need to be thankful for what we have, especially for Pastor Mark, Julie, and their family for what they have given to God’s work and our church. For what they have passed or given up for us, we should praise and thank the Lord for them every day. I hope we can look back at where we started with small beginnings, being stagnant, and going no where, to having a purpose and following what God has for us to do. The first thing we can do is support our body with our funding. As some of you know we did not meet 2008’s budget by around $8000.00, therefore we cut back on certain things in the budget. As of the end of February 2009 we are approximately already $3000.00 behind budget income. Some will say how can we do this or that and still build a new building. I say with God’s grace and with faith he can do anything. If our God cares enough for us to send his only Son to die for our sins, God will support and deliver on our prayers and needs for his kingdom.
We have debt; this debt is very small compared to most. We still owe on the tractor, windows, and a small loan from NAB for general expenses. Some members could step up in faith and pay these debts, or go beyond the debts and start funding for the future. We must dig deep and believe that God will bless us personally and as a church body beyond what we can imagine.
Some ways we can do this, some of you may not know is: go beyond what we normally tithes, we accept credit and debit cards. Purchase the retail cards; the church receives a percentage of what you spend. Buy things the church needs (such as paper, supplies, food, etc.). Pay a bill (gas, electric, phone, etc.). One way to help cash flow might be there are some members that might be able to give there regular tithes in advance by the quarter or half year (give six months of tithe at on time). Some might be able to give two weeks at a time, anything you can do to help. I know God we bless you. I hope that I did not offend or make anyone mad. If I did, I apologize. But know, this is my church body until the day I go home to Jesus and I will never, ever give up on it or You!!!
So my plea is instead of complaining or putting a thorn in our side. Please support and encourage each other and pull the thorn out instead of driving it in farther. I love you all (big, small, tall, short, young, or old) existing member, new members, and members to come.
IN GOD’S LOVE AND CHRIST SEVICE
RANDY DAVIS
